  1. Too funny! I worked with a guy from Salem who talked about them fondly. I used to think he was making it up. To me it always sounded disgusting.
  2. I'll be available to help out.
  3. It was an outstanding day. The weather Gods definitely decided to smile down on us. Thanks to everyone who participated especially the, first class, presenters.
  4. Water temp at the wall , hampton beach is 56 today according to the local surf shop website. I would be expecting to spend some time in the water tomorrow.
  5. That looks about right Phil. I had put it into mapquest and there, it looked like it was closer to the Main park entrance. To add to the confusion it looks like the road does jog northeast there but you'd be traveling on 1A south. Anyway...the ramp is immediatly past the bridge.
  6. Good question Ed. The last time I was there (last year) it was free but I don't know what the current policy is.
  7. Phil, The boat ramp is NOT in the main part of the park it's at the south end of the bridge.
  8. Hi Rich, Everyone is welcome to join in. you'll need a pfd and appropriate dress....the water is warming up (relatively speaking) so even a farmer john should be fine. If you're planning on going out beyond the river mouth you'll need a sea kayak with bulkheads. A helmet is always a good idea around rocks and surf. Look forward to seeing you sometime soon. Sal
  9. IMHO ...that's exactly right Ed
  10. Was a very good start to the summer routine. Nice to get out with old friends and make a new friend. Welcome to NSPN Bill and welcome to fun in the surf. And Doug...great photo!
  11. I just checked the package and you are correct "Bonine"
  12. btw...what's a 'bonnie' and what's a 'bonine' ? Bonnie is similar to dramimine but leaves most people less drowsy.
  13. I use bonnie when I'm planning on doing rolling practice...chlorinated pools are the worst for me...but sometimes repeated dunkings in cold water can make me feel slightly unsteady...not enough to be debilitating...but enough so that I can feel it.
  14. In Peter's defense: He called, admitted to the crime and agreed to return the glasses. No charges were filed. And, I'd like to add my thanks to all who, generously, gave their time to share their knowledge and experience......and thanks to all who participated.
  15. I think that, currently, Rob Hazard has custody of the brochures.
  16. Lucky to be found alive. Doesn't sound like they're out of the woods yet. http://www.ajc.com/news/missing-georgia-ka...und-528885.html
  17. Exactly right Phil, thank you. I wasn't trying to marginalize anything that Gerry said.
  18. Wow! That really did seem like deja vu
  19. Renee, I think what Ed was refering to (boxing the compass) was getting out on the water, in the wind, and play around with pointing your bow in varius directions to the wind so you can get a better idea for how it reacts to differing wind directions. As for the Tuesday surf sessions....although I attend most of them, the credit for organizing them goes to Bill Harter and Cathy Foley. That said, I intend to be out there regularly, probably starting by the beginning of June. Look forward to seeing you out there.
  20. Tyson, I do have a facebook account but was able to click on the link and have the photos come up without having to login to FB
  21. And thanks to all who brought delicious snacks to share...and to Bill Harter for once again bringing the kuerig machine and an ample supply of coffee tea and cocoa.
