  1. No experience with these suits, but I do notice that they have only an 83.3% positive feedback rating. That alone, would be a deal breaker for me.
  2. Regarding dams on the Merrimack between Lowell and Haverhill: There is a dam in Lawrence. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Stone_Dam#:~:text=The Great Stone Dam (also called the Lawrence,a height of 35 feet (11 m).
  3. I've also had several, similar emails today. Sal
  4. Just now looking at my manual. Icom recommends replacing the battery after 5 years even if it still holds a charge. Sal
  5. Andy, I'm always surprised how long the battery in my M-73 holds a charge. I've had my radio turned on for hours during a paddle. I've not noticed any sudden, precipitous decline. I think Icom claims 10 hour battery life. I have an M-73 that's over 5 years old and the battery still holds a strong charge. I'd be interested to hear what other people have experienced. Sal
  6. Great deal if it's in decent shape. If I didn't already have one I'd be looking into it.
  7. I see that now JIm. I did see this one on ebay though. Price is on the high side but looks like it's available.
  8. I found this. Seems to be the same compass different brand name. https://www.paddlerssupply.com/product/brunton-70p-compass/
  9. Complications you say? Who could have predicted that?
  10. I haven't been to cranes lately but the greenheads are already out in the Merrimack river/Plum Island area. Pretty early this year.
  11. My understanding is that Pavilion beach is "residents only" on weekends but during the week it's open to non-residents.
