  1. I'm in agreement with the prevailing opinion here....but out of curiosity...what do you suppose the approximate age of the rescuees was?
  2. Not a lot of crabs but a good group and a nice paddle. We ran into a fellow from Stonington who had come down to pick up a boat at Kittery and decided to check out the area. He paddled along with us for a bit .
  3. Hope to be there....maybe a bit late due to conflicting parties...entree or dessert.....not sure.
  4. Oh No!!! not the inter-meeeeed-iate paddler again!!!!!
  5. When I checked with my insurance company a couple of years ago they assured me that my kayak was covered under "personal possessions" with a $500 deductable. My insurance Co. is Commerce.....and not sure if it makes a differance but I'm in Mass and I know you guys are in NH.
  6. Maybe I hadn't mentioned my prize winning halloween costume.
  7. Festive attire??? Careful what you ask for =:-)
  8. Rob, I've been using merino wool for about a year...for paddling, skiing, hiking, bicycling, working out at the gym and just hanging around. It comes in a wide variety of weights and configurations. I'm definitely a convert. It's pricey but if you watch out for sales and scan the discount sites online you can save a lot of money.
  9. And....let's not forget the bald eagle that soared over us while we were on Bangs. Not such an uncommon sight anymore but impressive none the less.
  10. Couldn't have asked for a better crew to spend a couple of days with.
  11. Rob, I'll be there Sat AM ready for a 10:00 o'clock launch. Dee will be there as well. Are you all set with bags? or shall we bring some too?
  12. I like that one Gene. I've used a similar technique to remove wristpins from motorcycle pistons works like a charm fr
  13. I plan on being there for both the meeting and the paddle.
  14. I don't have any experience with hoods so I can't comment on that...but for me, booties, a relief zipper and overskirt are essential. I've found that the overskirt keeps the cockpit much dryer when rolling or in any kind of surf conditions.
  15. The gelato there really is very good.....plenty of flavors to.
  16. Liz, I don't doubt that you've paid your dues but you're listed as an "unpaid member" Chris Mabon should be able to help you straighten things out.
  17. Suz , I've been there quite a bit this summer and haven't had any parking problems
