  2. YES!!" Adams Point ! Thanks - someday I will find my memory...
  3. Hi all I did mean Cabman Park in Nwbpt and had no intention of going.into the open ocean . I like Susan's suggestion as well although I prefer another launch sitebon Great Bay, whose name escapes me. Also suggested was a launch from Pavilion Beach (Ipswich) or Lanes Cove (Rockport). Cathy, any suggestions?
  4. Sorry, Christopher, I will be away, sorry to miss the paddle.
  5. Hello all, No worries, I am not about to join in this debate. From my perspective it seems as though opinions are stuck and people have been hurt and offended. I am, however, going to ask that people consider the idea that perhaps it is past-time to "agree to disagree" and end this discussion on the message boards. Please consider...
  6. Launch from Lanes Cove @ 11:00 Beach Briefing @ 10:30
  7. I second Pru's thanks. And Doug, Pru's writing style is rubbing off on you, great report!
  8. Thanks for the pics, Lisa. It was great to see Mustang Sally close-up.
  9. Hi, Our Ladies Paddle is approaching... We will have a 9:30 high and 3:30 low. Ideas? Suggestions: Launch from Cashman Park around noon, have a leisurely lunch and meander back after 3:30? Launch from Cape Porpoise about 8:30 AM (yes... early...) wander around, explore, come back... I am very open to all ideas,
  10. Trip has been cancelled. :-( I would be interested in any camping trips...
  11. Yes, thanks Dave! It was my first venture into the marsh, I learned not to go there without a GPS and somebody who knows the area. It was a great trip and the chocolate covered cherries and strawberries certainly added to the pleasure. Thanks Gay!
  12. Awesome, gentlemen! No indexing errors either! Can't wait to see if there is an emotioncon of a red-head paddling a white on white kayak w/ gray trim... And... why "no pink"? Surely, there is always room for pink!
  13. Hello, I have an instructional trip planned with Suz Hutchinson and the person I had planned to go with is not going. Would one or two people like to join me?? The dates are depart Thursday, July 19th and return Sunday July 22. The cost would be Suz's fee + food (which she provides). You would need minimal camping gear, just a sleeping bag. The destination is Stonington, launching from Old Quarry and camping along the way close to Isle Au Haut. My goal is to touch Isle Au Haut and navigate about, maybe all around. Doesn't this sound like fun!!?? Please PM or email me and I will be happy to share the particulars. celticwoman3@verizon.net

Boy, am I glad I bought those kayak trip books from Christopher!
  15. trying very hard to not make a joke about Ladies paddles being held monthly.... ;-) Okay, I'm game ~ check out the trip board, please ~ I will need assistance... I am open to alternative launch suggestions although I liked a 10:00 briefing, 10:30 launch return around 3 or 3:30. Susan, can you post a link to the pics?
  16. A bevy of beautiful babes in boats launched from Odiorne Pt this AM. There were 14 (?) of us and we split into two pods with Lorrie heading up the second group. In true CAM fashion leadership was fluid. We all meandered down the coast to Wallis Sands for lunch and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch with especially delicious rhubarb bars that were quite tasty. We launched for Wallis Sands with some of us trying the "cork" method of launching in surf. Some were more successful than others and Suz graciously did the first (and the only one necessary) rescue of the day. On the way back we crossed paths a few gentlemen NSPNers. Our "other" group went to explore the lighthouse while we went inside the harbor and had fun with rescues and boat handling skills. We returned, loaded boats, debriefed and drove into the sunshine. Special thanks to Suz for her assistance, Lorrie for stepping up with the speedy group and Julie for being our pace-setter. Special mention to Gay who drove 200 miles round trip to paddle with us. It was the kind of day were you say to yourself, "I love my life." Thanks to all of you for your companionship, positive attitudes and adventurous spirits.
  17. Since yesterday when I try to post I am taken to an "Index Error" page. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
  18. And a great restaurant in Belfast, Chase's Daily. I used to live in St. George, Tenant's Harbor actually. If you like seafood stop in at Cod End in T Harbor. Ooops, just noticed the date, you are already there, hope you are enjoying it!
  19. okay, so perhaps that was a little larger font than necessary...
