  8. It was great! Rob is writing the trip report. I'm not supposed to be on-line.... I'm taking a class and part of the homework assignment for the week is no TV, radio, internet, books, magazines, newspapers... Have to go, I am feeling very guilty...
  9. Hi, Great! No specific directions - I think if you Google Kittery Town dock/launch you should be able to find directions. In-Season there is a $5.00 launch fee- not sure if that is stillthe case. Parking is either across the street [again for a small fee] or down the street 1/4 mile @ a school. Weather concerns will be posted this evening or by 7:00 tomorrow AM.
  10. Especially since the paddle is Sunday :-)
  11. No apologies necessary gentlemen- I only wanted to be sure we were all on the same page. See you Sunday,
  12. Woo Hoo!!!! Of course you passed the **** !
  13. Hi, Clarification about this trip ~ as posted it is NOT a circumnavigation around anything. It remains a L2 paddle. IF conditions allow and the group agrees then a circumnavigation will be considered. The purpose of this trip is to see the marsh in fall, check out the fowl. My objective is to have some of our less-experienced paddlers be able to experience this paddle ~ which is one of my favorites. I do not want anyone to be intimidated about this trip by the circumnavigation chatter. Please do not assume that if there are more than xx amount of paddlers that we will break into two pods and one will go around and one won't. Please do not RSVP or show up for this trip unless you would be happy with going up and back via the creek. Thanks,
  14. Bump have you emailed Peter with your nominations yet??

  16. Hey Everyone, It's time to submit your nominations for our annual awards! Each year NSPN presents two awards to members to recognize those who have significantly contributed to the Club over the past year. A third award is presented to the paddler who has significantly improved their paddling skills during the 2012 season. It's now time to nominate those who you think most deserve to be recognized. Only NSPN members may nominate or be nominated for these awards. These awards are announced and presented at the Holiday Party on Saturday, December 8th. The awards are as follows: FOUNDERS AWARD: “The Founders award is given to the person deemed by the members of the club to have done the most to keep the NSPN spirit alive by giving of themselves to better the club, in ways that may not always be visible." Any member can nominate and the selection is made by the Board of Directors. Please send your nominations to Peter Brady. Along with the name of your nominee please include your reasons for nominating him/her for this award. PADDLER OF THE YEAR AWARD "The Paddler of the Year award is given to the person who made the greatest contributions to benefit the club's membership." TRAVERSO AWARD "The Traverso award goes to the member who has shown the most improvement through taking a "never quit “ attitude in the last year. This award is supported by a memorial gift in honor of Jim Traverso, a member who lost his life on the Sun Kosi River in Nepal in 1999. Jim was a dedicated teacher, guide, adventurer, and lover of the outdoors. " Any member can nominate and the selection is made by the Board of Directors. Please send your nominations to Peter Brady. Along with the name of your nominee please include your reasons for nominating him/her for this award. Nominations will close November 12th in order to allow time to make the selections and prepare the awards. Please send your nominations to our club President, Peter Brady, by email (pbrady at neaq.org) or by PM. We hope to have a large pool of nominees so please take a few minutes to submit your nominations. Thanks in advance, Katherine, on behalf of your Board
