I had the same problem with my NDK, and I have solved it at least for now with a liberal application of marine sealant; so far it has held for 1 year anyway. I still have half a tube in my freezer if you want to use it! Beth

Hi everyone, I'm trying to put together an emergency boat repair kit, and I'm wondering what are the generally used/recommended items, esp. what do folks recommend for field emergency repairs. I've heard all kinds of advice about various kinds of tapes, etc. Any input is greatly appreciated! Beth

I've found that i can pop my sprayskirt off without using my hands at all if I bend one leg up out from under the front deck, and simply push hard as if i were standing up in the cockpit. However this only works if you have a keyhole cockpit that you can get one knee out of while you are still sitting in the boat.

Yes, I had no problem getting a reservation for camping, I think there are still spots available if anyone else is planning to tent, and i'm happy to share my site as well.

I am staying at the Hadley's Point campground on Sept 4-7; there is room at my site #42 for one more tent/car (max 2 tents/4 people/2 cars per site) if anyone is interested, PM me and let me know. I think they have lot of other sites available as well for tenting.

Hi everyone, I know this is a much discussed topic on the web, but I'm wondering if anyone here has done it and might have a few tips as well. I plan to remove the very uncomfortable stock seat on my older GP and replace it with an NDK foam seat (which they now come with anyway) Besides never having done this before, the major hassle I anticipate is figuring out how to attach the back band once the seat is removed. Perhaps just leave the fiberglass seat hanger on the sides and hope it is strong enough? Perhaps glass in some reinforcement? Is it best to just glue the new seat in, or would some velcro arrangement be better, to allow the seat to be moveable for and aft? Any thoughts or input is much appreciated! Beth
