  1. There is still time to sign up for this skills session.
  2. This skills session will focus on basic strokes and boat handling. We will start with overall body position in your kayak We will achieve this through getting comfortable with the body mechanics of posture, cooperation between upper and lower body to form a C for edging and keeping loose whilst underway. We will work on a variety of strokes, to include the forward stroke, and a variety of turning strokes. We will also practice edging and bracing. After some attention to these skills, we can go for a short paddle and apply the skills underway. All skill levels are welcome. Whether you are new to sea kayaking or a more experienced paddler looking to reinforce some basic skills, this skills session is for you. This session will take place in a flat water environment however everyone should always be prepared for and dress for immersion. Dry suits or wet suit with splash top recommended. Location and Date: Odiorne State Park Boat Ramp, NH-1A, Rye, NH 03870 - Saturday 6/8/24 Make your parking reservation here - https://www.nhstateparks.org/find-parks-trails/odiorne-point-state-park What You Need to Bring: Kayak with bulk heads and a spray skirt, PFD, paddles, hat or helmet, dress for immersion, sunscreen, lunch, snacks, and water. 5. This rotomolded kayak is in excellent condition, with only a few minor scratches on the hull. At 16' 1" long, this is Valley's all around ocean kayak, short enough for ocean play yet long enough to hold its speed. Boat is located in Hooksett, NH. Check out Valley's description of this kayak - https://www.valleyseakayaks.com/our-kayaks/polyethylene-models/sirona Interested parties can contact me through this message board or at jcharette522@yahoo.com.
  6. I'm also unable to attend today. If Janet's spot is taken and someone else is interested please let me know.
  7. Great presentation Dan. Thank you for all the research you put into this and thank you for sharing it with us.
