  20. My guess is that these were canoes since there were 4 boats and 11 people. They had a rescue boat, life jackets and were in fairly protected water. My guess is that a boat wake would be more likely to be the cause of the capsize than the wind. We weren't there and everybody made it back. I don't think that it's fair to say that they exercised "Poor judgment" since we don't know the facts. I should be out paddling and not 2nd guessing other people's judgment. -Jason
  21. The Meridian version is made for kayakers and the front entry version is for general water sports. The Meridian has a "Dual-adjustable overskirt" that will go over your spay skirt. Along with coverings to protect the gaskets from UV. -Jason

  23. How's an 11:00 launch? http://www.nspn.org/play-put-ins.html Winthrop Explore Belle Island Marsh - the OLDEST existing marshland in the United States. It is fun to paddle around the airport - water quality not great - don't want to spill - around Deer Island treatment plant and then up along the coast past north end of Winthrop, Revere beach (the oldest public beach in US) to Nahant and around then around Nahant. Take Route 1A north from Logan Airport about 1.5 miles to Route 145 (just south of Suffolk Downs). Turn right on Route 145 to Pleasant Street. Right on Pleasant (still following signs for 145). At intersection of Shirley Street and Route 145, turn right and follow Shirley Street 0.4 mile to the Winthrop Harbor Boat Ramp on the right. Free parking.
  24. Rick your welcome to mine, if you don't find one that is a better size. I am heading up to Cape Ann after work and I can bring it. I have trimmed the Neck so it might be big. I am heading to Canada Wed to pickup a new (to Me) boat, so Tuesday would be the day if you want my dry suit. -Jason
  25. With RAW format you can fix the white balance and help with the lighting in a way that you can't with the JPG's.
