  1. Joe and Bob, thank you so much for all the paddles this summer. I joined you at Nahant early in the season after very little paddling the previous year. We didn’t go far, but I was happily exhausted when we got back. I especially appreciated Bob and Mike helping with landing and launching on the rocks for lunch. I also joined at what turned out to be the last Wednesday paddle of the season. We didn’t go that far, but I was again exhausted after a day in some swell, despite a fair amount of paddling this summer. I especially appreciated Bob’s launching a few of us after lunch. That time it felt like a splendid luxury rather than a scary necessity. So some progress along with lots of fun. Thank you!
  2. Thanks for the link. If you want an exercise to play with, how about the currents in Eastern Bay, off of Great Wass, near high tide? Some of us were paddling to our put-in north of the fish pens, expecting to ride the tide, but encountered some current going the opposite direction.
  3. Joe, can you post a link to your instructions? Also, if I can't find it there, how'd you get the current arrows you had yesterday?
  4. Hi, I registered yesterday morning but just heard that I’m not listed in the float plan. Can you check that my registration went through?
  5. I can’t make it this time (and not only because it’s full), but I’ll be on the lookout for the next one. Hope you have a great day out there.
  6. I did! It was a really great day. I know my group had an excellent day going here and there, doing this and that. I hope the same was true for the other pods as well. Thanks to all, especially Rob for all the organizing.
  7. Interested if this happens and I'm not the hundredth person in line. --Joyce
  8. I’m planning to be there. L3. — Joyce
  9. I'll opt out. I'm not sure I'm up to that mileage right now. Hope you have a great day!
  10. Interested depending on start time and expected distance.
  11. I was thinking the same — Thursday Rinse and Roll. I can go pretty early, but I wonder if a little later would attract more takers. 7am? 8am? 9am? I hope others will post interest, preferred days and times. Maybe start in a week or two?
  12. Non-Wednesday morning sessions at Walden would be very interesting to me! What days work best for you, Prudence? I'd love to meet you there.
  13. I won’t be able to make it after all. Hope you have a fun day. —Joyce (I thought I had an automatic signature but I’m not seeing it.)
  14. Can’t commit just yet, but I might join in. Looks like a great day.
  15. I’m planning to be there. I might get there a bit early to swim, but will be to the launch by 4:45.
  16. If the rain is bad today, how will the water quality be tomorrow? If we think it’s ok,I might try to make it. Also, shouldn’t this post be in the trip forum rather than this general forum. I’m surprised I noticed it in here.
  17. I was just checking the weather, but I might be a tad early on that. I’m planning to be there as well and have my fingers crossed about weather.
  18. I had thought about it but I imagine it’ll be closed on such a hot day. It’s not currently closed, but be sure to check the Twitter feed before going too far out of your way.
  19. Boohoo! Hope to see you tomorrow! Ken, I’ll be there by 4:30 and a new member will also be joining us. See you then I’ll bring The Form.
