  1. It takes awhile, but I do eventually get the link correct. https://plus.google.com/photos/102821386556038093669/albums/5875023340079166385?authkey=COz4va-s75-zSg
  2. Pru, I enjoyed your beautifully written report. I can't think of a better way to enjoy nature, exercise and relax at the same time, meet new friends and have great conversations around a very eclectic evening meal. Dave
  3. Great trip reports from both of you. Though I did not go camping this weekend a small group of us had a pleasant but windy paddle on Sunday in Plum Island River. Due to a slight navigation error, we had to paddle 8 miles without a stop. I would like to echo Rene's comment about conditioning. I barely made the lunch break at 8 miles with 3 more back to the launch site. Even after lunch the last three were a struggle. I plan to do more biking and paddling to gat back into shape. None-the-less, it was fantastic to be on the water again Dave
  4. Sorry should have been more specific. If anyone is paddling on Sunday I am looking for paddling companion(s).
  5. Is anyone planning to paddle on Sunday? Wind and seas will have subsided and temps should be more favorable.
  6. Rob, You're batting a thousand. I have commitments on all three days. :{ Dave
  7. Gary, as you can se from my message earlier I am lining up trips for the season and Jewel is one of them
  8. Tom, I let Doug know I am interested. If one is still available, do I reimburse you? dave
  9. Doug, Tom posted 2 openings for 3/24 pool session. If one of these is still available I'd like to attend. Dave
  10. Warren please add me to May and June if possible Dave
  11. Accomplished one goal so far this year. Learned to roll on my opposite side. Not by any means comfortable yet, but did complete 3 -4 rolls two weeks ago. And I have the bruises to prove it.
  12. I would vote for CDO, it's sort of like OCD only in the right alphabetical order
  13. 2013 1. At least 3 camping trips of 2 or more nights 2. Make the Jewell trip this year 3. Roll on both sides 4. BCU 3 star 5. Improve navigation skills and seamanship 6. Just like the tourist who when visiting NYC asked a man on the street how to get to Carnegie Hall, the response was, " Practice, practice, practice.".
  14. Is there one GPS that works better for kayaking than the others? ie water proofed, easy to view screen, especially wearing sunglasses, etc Dave
  15. I'm interested and would agree with Gene and prefer North Shore launches. I'll add my vote to Joppa flats Dave
  16. https://picasaweb.google.com/102821386556038093669/SquamLake?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCMXh2t3crZLiqgE&feat=directlink Great day at Squam. Thanks again Doug for organizing. More pics to enjoy. Dave
  17. Doug, I am also registered for the Northeast Seacoast paddle and will notify NESP to change my status IF you still intend to go Saturday. I would like to give NESP as much notice as possible. What is your cancellation policy? Dave
  18. Wild pictures, and to think I almost joined them. I found three other paddlers yesterday at Little Harbor, Portsmouth and we circumnavigated Pierce Island. We did not escape the wind, even in "protected" waters, with waves breaking over the bow. The wind, the incoming tide and the Piscataqua current provided some challenging paddling in the river. Cathy, I was out off Ft. Foster on Friday and the surf was very dirty also which is very unusual. Dave
  19. Gary I'm up fot this trip. Met another paddler this summer who raved about the campsite and the great boating areas. Dave
  20. Pru, Congratulations. Wow, what a surprise you had. Dave
  21. Pru, I love to read your reports. Our trip in pics. Dave https://picasaweb.google.com/102821386556038093669/CrowIslandMuscongusBay?authkey=Gv1sRgCJ3co676rqmPMA
  22. Hi Gary, My works plans have changed and I will not be able to participate on the Jewel trip this year. Hopefully, I'll be able in 2013. Have fun. Dave
  23. Rick, I'd like to join this paddle. I don't mean to complicate things, but there is always Odiorne, no port-a-pot but plenty of parking. Dave
