  1. Penciling it on my calendar. Will wait for more details, but interested in this event.
  2. Interested. Will post again if I decide to join you. I go from there quite a bit, but haven't done that trip. Nancy
  3. Rob, I'm pm'ing you with my float plan info. I work tonight, but would like to try to make this.
  4. Yes, that area can be very confusing. Back during my years in Ipswich, it was my playground and I was out in the sound two-three times a week during the season. I have always been a bit "tide-obsessed," so I would try to time the tide to my favor and choose my route accordingly. Usually I would do short paddles averaging 5-8 miles in the area, but when the tide is right, this is a great trip. Thanks for the route map!
  5. Wow. Impressed with the plan. When I lived in Ipswich I used to do this paddle on the fly. Would love to do it tomorrow but won't be home in time to make it. I especially love that the tide would be in our favor both ways. Gorgeous area and I miss it.
  6. Thrilling for sure :-) The only whale watch I was ever on (mid-eighties), was out of Gloucester and included the boat running with a school of dolphins. But being in a kayak and having them so close must have been amazing.

    Full Moon!

Hi Lesli, I was waiting to see if anything came up on this. I have a busy day today, but was hoping to possibly catch a moonlight paddle if people were doing it. Don't see anything here yet though. Would love to practice, but today might be tight. Nancy

    Full Moon!

Could do Pavilion or North Shore sunday evening :-/
  9. I'd be in, and like the location, but college moving weekend. Thankfully got out yesterday. Have fun.
  10. Weather looks like it might be okay, but I missed my window. Have an early day tomorrow, so think I'm going to pass. I'm sure it will be quite lovely. Enjoy!
  11. Been very busy with somewhat low motivation for things that take effort. Will try -- I'll post later either way.
  12. Sounds wonderful. Great pictures, too :-)
  13. Yup. Those were the ones. Pretty, but large. And I must have counted over 10, mostly by themselves. Just an FYI
  14. I was to the right of Lane's on Tuesday and noticed quite a few large jellyfish in the water. Is this typical, Sir G? Just wondering. I was a bit surprised as I had never noticed them before.
  15. I was thinking the same thing. Have light, will travel. Yet, I haven't done one for a while...
  16. until

Is there a location yet? I believe I have a conflict, but depending on details, would consider rearranging so I could attend. Thanks for any info. Nancy
  17. Turtled many a Sunfish back in the day... Or more correctly, my Dad's Sunfish many times over...
  18. Good catch, Pintail. My first paddle cost about the same as my first boat, $200. Got the boat on sale. And be sure, Bob, to check out the New to Sea Kayaking Workshop if you can.
