    sunday?

I can possibly get away to join you. Sounds like fun but will follow up later. Any idea of the time frame? Doug
  3. Trip Odometer 13.0 / Moving Time 4hrs/28min / Moving Average 2.9mh (Moving average tainted during stationary float time & rock play, etc) Guess we posted the miles at the same time, sorry Gene. Nice paddling with you.

  5. contemplating...... is there parking?
  6. Your response does not surprise me. I believe you assume too much. Keep an open mind and you could learn something.
  7. Perhaps an added vital piece of information to note for later consideration will be the type of of paddle or blade used. A high angle Epic Mid-wing or Werner Ikelos will use less strokes (I believe) than a low angle blade such as a Werner Kaliste or Greenland Paddle.
  8. Some pictures of this paddle. Follow the link. Doug http://pixel8er.shutterfly.com/324?size=All&startIndex=0
  9. I'll be there as well. Looking forward to it. A nice loop from either direction. Doug
  10. York to Brave Boat, Gerrish etc. sounds great. Doug
  11. LAKE SUNAPEE, NH .... 11AM meet & casual launch from Blodgett Landing. 3 Confirmed NSPN paddlers so far. Plan on 6-10 miles depending on the mood. Blodgett heading south of Great Island, over to Star Island around Isle of Pines, Burkehaven Lighthouse to Sunapee Harbor for a break. We can wing it from there. Water temp in the mid 50's. Easiest way to get there is 93 North to Concord, NH. Get on 89N to exit 12. Take exit and go left on Rt 11. 1/2 mile get on 103A. Right into Blodgett Landing. I believe the boat launch area is on the left. Post interest here or just show up. Send me a message if you need a phone number or I'll have ch 69 on when I get there. Doug
  12. This Sunday 5/3...11:30AM launch at Pierce Island & do a mini-circumnavigation of New Castle. Probably play around Odiorne in the rocks for a while or hang back a bit depending on people's comfort level. Do a lunch break & return via Portsmouth Harbor. 6-9 miles. A mellow Spring ocean paddle. Low tide I believe is 1:26. Dry suit or wet suit strongly advised. There are 4 of us already confirmed. Please post any interest here. I'll join you at Cape Ann on a later date. Doug
  13. I would like this option. Perhaps you should start a new thread unless Leslie & others opt for this instead of the full circumnavigation. Doug
  14. I am interested as well. I will need more information on the launch/take out location as I'm not that familiar with the area. Only paddled Lanes Cove to Rockport last year. How many miles/hours do do estimate in full? Thanks for posting. Doug

  18. I'd like to help on the water as well. Pencil me in for now. Sounds like a fun time. Doug
  19. Hi Ern Check out Nelo & Epic before you make a decision. I really didn't like the way the "Fit" felt but I believe I'm much larger than you. I love the Epic 18x Ultra (only 35lbs). At least it had some sense of stability. Charles River has them as well. They are great boats for what you want to do. Nice hidden rudder system and have the option this year to extend the rudder depth. Epic made some nice improvements over last years model. Never tried Nelo but it seems to be extremely popular in the elite class. There's my two cents worth. Have fun shopping. Doug
  20. Yes, count me in for Suwin's space in Haverhill. The time works better for me . I have a Goffstown slot available at 5:30 (for free, also on Sat) if anyone wants it. Just let me know Thanks Doug
  21. I'm tempted as well yet may be a bit rusty in this format. Locked in a "Lawrence Juber" mode with minimal success lately. Doug
