  1. I got my white light and the GPS programmed for the C of C. See you at 6:30. Larry
  2. Thanks Doug Great pictues - great trip! Larry
  3. Doug, looks like a good day for a paddle - see you at Odiornes. Larry
  4. Rick, unfortuantely something has come up and I can't make tomorrow. Here's wshing your group fair winds and following seas. Larry
  5. I would also like to be a competent member of the group - what CAM level do you think this might be? Larry
  6. Scott, nice trip report and great photos. I especially liked the GPS route at the end. I didn’t realize we had gone that far even though it felt like it. And I really want to thank Al for CAMing this trip. Twice now, Al has taken us to the Graves with better than perfect conditions. Not a bad first ocean experience for my friend Joe. 7. Al, looking forward to another one of your trips, count me in. Early is fine, but I'll do whatever the group decides Larry
  8. Doug, nice photos and a great trip! I'll try and stay more with the group next time. Larry Some more photos at http://picasaweb.google.com/larryg2002/Fro...errishIslandNH#
  9. Add my name to the pile - it looks like a good day to paddle Larry
  10. Al, what are the odds that this site would be down the same time we would check for messages? Anyway, I made my first solo trip today. The water was like glass (like the time we went to Graves). I paddled over to Nahant, then out to Egg Rock, then back to Kings Beach. Sorry we missed each other – until next time. Larry
  11. I'll check this message board at 7 and if still on, will plan to be there at 8:30. Larry
  12. 9 works for me just fine, how about everyone else? Larry
  13. Count me in. You may want to consider an earlier launch time. I know Nahant gets full before 10 on hot summer days and I would think this adjacent might also. Just a thought. Larry
  14. I'm interested Al - pick a place and time. Larry
  15. Gene, I think I answered your original question and the one thing I learned and would like addressed is a better radio check. Setting channels and saying “check 1, 2, 3†on the beach isn’t enough. I would suggest that after everyone is in their boat and have paddled for a while to get some separation, a check of everyone with radios be made. I would also suggest that some guidelines on radio use be made. For example, should we adopt a common channel with provisions for an alternate if there is heavy traffic? Larry
