If my math is correct it is now April 4th and the trip is June 19th that would be just over 2 months but you gentelman down south may be better at math ?

I don;t know what you want us to say you left only telling 1 or 2 paddelers your intentions I was not one of them your radio is only good for line of sight and being 2' off the water does not take much to lose reseption. From where we were surfing you could see our putin and cranes and plumisland were not more then a 15 min. paddel so with that said if you think we are at fault so be it I;ll take the blame but I think it was you who screwed up and for all of you who were not there you don't know what happend and can only ass u me what happend.

I also did not here radios on 72 my radio was on and on69 after I noticed you missing and was told you went to the beach and radioed you were there I realized I was on the wrong chanel and switched to 72 .

I noticed our group count fell to 10 shortly after Gene left and was told he went to the beach to eat. someone called him and he had landed on the beach from our play area I could not see him on the beach so as he said he went around the point it had to be plum island and ther were boats anchord there he also radiod he was heading back to putin when we headed back it had been 1.5 to 2 hours since he had left the group after landing and loading boats we realized his car was still at the putin so we made several atempts to call him on the radio and no ansewrs we drove to little neck to see if he had got pushed up the ipswich river by the tide still no sign of him we asked several other boaters coming in if they had seen him but no luck finaly a call was made to the ipswich police and we were told the harbor master was responding to a kayaker in trouble we left a name and number with them and then we left after nearly 2 hours.

If you go to charles river canoe and kayak they have a link to kas transport and they transport kayaks all over the country.

Any desision made for sunday yet may be intrested in going?

Ben I was thinking of posting a trip around this same time but I don't paddle with a greenland paddle allthough I do own one . Would us euro paddlers be welcome to join you? Also I will be at hermit Is. this week and we've only been allowed one car per site does this rule change after labor day?

Beach breifing 8:30 ok 9:00 we can have a workshop on being on time some other time. 35+ paddlers showed up not a bad turn out a big thankyou to Rick S. for posting and hosting this event. After intro's and disscusion on the beach we split into 5 or 6 groups [not a simple task with this many people ] then we were on our way . my group consiting of 14 actualy 2 groups together headed to the breakwater to take a look out side and from there as a group decided to head out and play. I'd like to thank Dana for being my victim so I could do a rescue in conditions other than flat water. We had on person decide they didn't want to stay outside and Kevin B. paddled back with that person to one of the other groups . Paul and Paula kept us busy paddling in a group inthe sweels going diffrent directions to experince the difrincas in folowing and beam seas while we waitfor kevin to return. After his return we went to play in some surf. Not an easy task for the inexperianed but a hell of alot of fun. After lunch we decided as a group to go around Newcastle Island with a few returning to putin due to time issues. We met Rick S.'s group and they joined us and off we went. For the more seasond paddlers it was another day in paradise . for us less seasond paddlers holy sh-t them swells were big. For Mary B. she sounded like she was 10 years old on a ride at disney world. After turnig the corner at the coastgaurd station and a paddel up the river we stoped at Peirce Island to strech our legs and then back to the putin all in all one hell of a fun day and many thanks to all you seasoned paddlers for your help and tips. And Sir Christopher sorry for any spelling mistakes.
