The weather gods seem to be with us. New Year’s Day looks “mild” with a light breeze. To avoid the north shore pink ooze we are planning on launching from Masconomo Park, Manchester. Exact route to be determined based on the group but are looking at Great Misery for lunch. Beach briefing at 10:25. Butts in boat at 10:30.
Covid protocols are to be adhered to .

This is winter paddling so please have appropriate gear-sea kayak with bulkheads-drysuit-gloves-extra clothes-warm liquids etc

I'm in town! But I suppose one would want to wear a dry suit this time of year?

A drysuit is essential this time of year.

Pink ooze is the  nasty shopped up reddish seaweed that is endemic at West Beach among other places.  No fun launching through it!
