  1. I am all in favor of supporting our local dealers - I would add kayak centre in Wakefield RI as source but also encourage you to read about hatches at the kayak academy website - https://www.kayakacademy.com/products/valley-hatch-cover-vcp-round-8-lid There are multiple pages to check out - but they have a good discussion of the options
  2. If remember correctly there were several discounts available to members. Where do I find them on the website? Thank you in advance
  3. I echo the seals 1.4 - what I have used on my cetus, although I used a 1.7 orginally because that is what I had. I have a Seals Sea Sprite 1.7 if you would like to test drive it some time. (It is my skirt for guests.)
  4. A fairly new neoprene Snap Dragon skirt - XL tunnel - fits my 35" waist nicely. Medium deck - fits my Cetus and Avocet - came with a boat and just don't need another skirt. Can bring to a WLP or meet somewhere convenient.
  5. Super - I will hold it aside for you - we are headed away on vacation for 10 days - we leave Wednesday - are you in a hurry to look at it?
  6. Basically brand new Kokatat PFD - bought for my daughter but she basically never used it - it is the new model with the knife sheaf on the shoulder and the multiple pockets. orange. Could bring on a WLP or meet somewhere. -
  7. Selling a Snap Dragon skirt - large deck - equivalent to Seals 1.4. It has a XXL tunnel which is designed for 38" to 40" waist but it seems to fit my 35" waist just fine. In excellent condition
  8. I have several older skirts that might fit - I will bring them next time I am paddling - maybe the waves talk.
  9. I have used Mirazyme for bad odors. You need something that will kill the remaining bacteria. I suspect fresh air and a very mild bleach solution would also work. Lastly I use diluted listerine mouth wash on my booties. https://www.rei.com/product/852525/mcnett-mirazyme-odor-eliminator-8-fl-oz
  10. Interested depending on which weekend - but sounds great
  11. I can't make it - sorry - I have a parking pass is anyone wants it
  12. Prudence - I am hoping to join this paddle - I need to work out details regarding watching my grand-daughter but hoping to make it.
  13. I am a possible - there is an event at the White Rose Canoe shop which I might attend.
  14. sorry I missed this - unexpected family commitments - appreciate the effort that put in on this.
  15. I recently had a small self inflicted tear ~ 1 inch on my dry suit. I was thrown up against a barnacle covered rock. I sent it back for the leak test they offer - ~$45 and the patched it under that service. Area of patch was about 3 inches x 3 inches and hardly visible from the outside. Total cost to me including shipping was $53.
  16. I am planning to join the trip - looks like fun.
  17. Planning to register - will there be an option to CPR training which I believe is required to maintain ACA instructor certification
  18. I like weather bug - It does a nice job of showing where the lightning strikes are and where the cell is moving - not perfect but my go to app
  19. foam blocks are my go to approach - have J racks, saddles etc - but keep coming back to foam blocks. Think about transporting your kayak cockpit down if you have the spacing. Also be mindful of those L brackets on your rack - looks like those could do some damage.
  20. Interested - Weaver Cove boat ramp is also an option for a launch site. (Portsmouth RI)
  21. Interested, have also wanted to see it.
  22. Having lost a boat off of a vehicle due to rack failure I can attest to the value of front and rear lines.
