  1. So yes Gerry I suppose I can wait but realize that the geological clock is ticking. With the waves battering and the coastline eroding I fear the Cape will soon be a sand beach. Or perhaps the continents, always drifting, will once again collide to form a single, giant land mass. What of our Cape then? A long since forgotten memory thrusted skyward into a jagged mountain peak? People will wonder why the highest point in the world is called Mt. Porpoise. I'm really not in shape to to do any mountaineering and I don't enjoy having to haul things on me back. So yes we wait but lets get out there before Cape Porpoise becomes Porpoise beach or worse...Mt. Porpoise. Ross

  4. Seems as if there isn't that much interest in this paddle I may stay local and head up there some other time. Perhaps even next weekend, depending on the tides and weather. I am thinking of heading down to Manchester by the Sea. I will post that as a separate trip if I decide upon that. Ross

    well seems as if perhaps we'll depart at eleven later than ten better than seven thats all right with me and plenty of time for Cathy's morning tea the route we could choose when we arrive just as long as we're back by five sunset is around 5:15ish maybe paddle around Garrish? or just play amongst the rocks It'll be cold, so wear warm socks wear a helmet to protect your head oh and Pete, I'll be in my kayak that is red SUN NW WINDS 15 TO 20 KT... DIMINISHING TO 10 TO 15 KT IN THE AFTERNOON. SEAS 2 TO 4 FT. (we'll keep our eyes on Sundays forecast complete) today there is a gale warning We can decide tonight or in the morning This weekends been cold and windy so far if it continues I may stay home and play my guitar Ross

    The frigid air our soul to test. We have thought of pushing forth Not to travel South or West but to the ocean to our North Not Southward to warmer sea and air. where lesser paddlers go but to the land of cold we dare to the land of ice and snow though the details not worked out we will thus communicate All interested parties give a shout and we'll set the time and date.

  18. Yes Kim and I were just out for a walk and the temps are really cold. We'll have plenty more weekends. I'll probably do some x-country skiing the conditions have been very good for that. Get in touch if anyone is interested. Ross
