Hey thanks, you guys are awsome! (Sal thanks for catching that) Yes indeed we will be the only fools out there! Looking forward to paddling with ya'all. Tyson, hopefully this means you'll be joining us.

Just off the phone with Sal. We are concerned about the winds in Manchester. We have decided to move this trip north to Seabrook Harbor (parking lot on left before the bridge). Better chances of finding some protected areas. We will be meeting @ 10:00. bring a helmet if you join us as we'll be venturing out to see if there is any surf or playing in the current as it flows under the bridge. Its heading toward a new moon and high tide is at 8:30 so we have a good amount of current at around 11:30. We'll probably be playing under the bridge so any late comers just look for us there.

Sunday 12/13/09 the usual paddle. Meander along coastline and do some rock gardenin' maybe some surf if there is any (sometimes some small breakers on the beach). Meet at 10:00. Put in on beach at Ocean St. as it off season parking. Level 3 paddle, bring a helmet.
Please RSVP if interested, thanks Ross
My thoughts exactly. I would love to send him the suggestion of coming back to do that leg another time. I think he will probably decide to forgo his plans for a side trip up the coast of New England as he paddles up the Jersey shore. I've got a feeling he will just take a left and paddle up the Hudson River. We should definitely welcome this guy if he does paddle through our area. I might even join him for a couple of miles. What a great adventure!
Sunday 11/8/09 The wife has given me the OK! Nothing long just playing in the rocks, on the water by 10:00. Put in on beach at Ocean St. as it off season parking. Level 3 paddle, bring a helmet as I hope to be playing around in the rocks.

At 3:58, with the aid of some helping hands, (she was a little hesitant) Kaia Rebecca Bartosik successfully completed her first wet exit into this world! Mom, and Baby (and Daddy) are happy and healthy.
thinking about heading out to Seabrook and playing around in currents and standing waves as harbor empties under bridge. Max ebb is in the afternoon around 3:30. Any interest please post reply. I'm also open to any other ideas.

Hey folks how about we all compose an "NSPN Fight Song". You know like the ones you hear at Saturday college football games on TV? Just imagine a flotilla of NSPNer's paddling in the fog.... "Hoora! hoora! Onward women and men, make way for us we're NSPN, ooooooh yah " Or something like that...

Singing songs? A great way to break the boredom of a long crossing or to calm your nerves in conditions. Just no singing while in surf. I learned to hard way as I was just staring my "warrior breaks through the high surf" chant. My operatic crescendo was rudely and quite abruptly stifled but a mouthful of salty water as the wave broke over my boat and into my open mouth. The golden rule... finish the verse before the wave breaks.

We actually did find some decent surf out there this afternoon. Some playing in the rocks then some surf on the beach. Loads of fun (low "Bucker factor")! We'll be heading back out tomorrow (Friday 8/21) at 5:30 Seabrook Harbor.

Last minute post. Pete and I are going to head out to see if there are any waves and just to get out on the water to cool off. Seabrook harbor around 5. Come down if you wish. Any late takers can call me @ 914-489-2673 to coordinate.

Update: The 2 of us will be heading out @ 11 to look to see if there is any surf on the NH coastline so anyone interested give a call and we can randevous, rondevous, rondeview rondaevous . or maybe just meet up. 914-489-2673

What are you doing up so late young man?!!
I'll give a call in the AM maybe we can paddle closer around here. I was thinking of heading out to NH coast to look for some surf. (even a little would be OK) Stay in one spot and head in if there is t-storms. I'm just itching to get out. My # is 914-489-2673 if anyone wants to call to see if Blaine and I head out.
