  2. Minot is good as is any part of Boston harbor. Can only do Saturday. A good route is Cohassett to Scituate-North river and back with a stop at Minot light but it is lengthy 16 miles. could do a one way-two car (6 miles) trip if preferred. Pablo Quincy, MA

Quincy, Peddocks, grape island Loop Monday May 25 Come on a paddle this Monday May 25 . launching from the Houghs neck Public boat ramp (137 Bayview Road Quincy, MA 02169 ) Going around Peddocks clockwise and then into Hingham bay, to Grape and then back. Itinerary is flexible to suit the group Launch at 9:00 AM. About an 8.2 mile loop which could extend to 9.5 miles if we go around Bumpkin island. Likely stop at Windmill point, Grape island for lunch or snack. About 3 to 4 hours including breaks at a moderate water pace. Rescue/wet-exit experience, 15 foot kayak or longer ,Appropriate cold water gear required. Water is 56 F Regards Pablo deTorres

  11. I am in for Saturday the 15th. Lanes cove >> River preferred simply because I have never done that route.
  12. Good Pace, Good route, Good company, good weather! All great except for paddle blade snapping in half.
  13. There are plenty of more Sheltered routes in Boston Harbor starting from points that allow you to move from sheltered to more open waters so you can adjust depending on skill and conditions . The Malibu beach launch, the Houghs neck public ramp launch, Hingham harbor. City Point near pleasure bay. I would like to get on the water Sunday! Pablo

  15. Al Count me in. One of my favorite routes.Especially before the greenheads and boaters are in season. Fox Creek even two hours after high tide is very passable. Finding the entrance from Essex bay is the trick! Pablo

  19. As a trip participant I can vouch for the great conditions and companionship. Warren and Pru did a great job. The pre-trip materials were just right. It was enough to know what questions to ask and to generate the on-line conversations that would fill in the gaps. Conversations during the trip added much to my camping knowledge. The one night format is just right for a "new to" type trip. it simplifies the planning and reduces the pressure or concern about having everything "perfect". So it won't interfere with the fun. The terrific trip report and following discussion is an extra learning bonus. See you all on the Water Pablo
