PatE
I'm also interested as I am making plans for a trip to N.S. mid-August. Part of my time will be in Kejimkujik Park and the rest near the coast, just haven't decided where yet.
Jill
The definitive book on this is "Sea Kayaking in Nova Scotia" by Scott Cunningham. Scott runs a tour company called Coastal Adventures. I took a camping trip with them in 1997 and enjoyed it.Nova Scotia has lots and lots of wonderful places to paddle. The Eastern Shore is very much like Maine probably used to be. Cape Breton has wonderful soaring cliffs and Bras d'Or lake. Cape Chignecto, where I went with CA, is cool too. It is on the Bay of Fundy and the tidal swings are incredible. Local knowledge is important there.Prince Edward Island is supposed to be neat but I didn't get up there.Have fun!Jill
bobandgeri
We've paddled the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia twice. Best paddling we've done - tons of small islands to explore. Be glad to share charts and Scott's book if you can find your way to Southern NH one night. If your going to do day trips we can recommend a good B&B that is centrally located to stay at.
