BigBird
Hi folks, Want to add a keel strip to my new-to-me boat. Has anyone used a product like Keeleasy or Keelgard? Looks like they are vinyl and DIY. Thanks!

EEL
I do not recall what the various replies to my inquiry from 2012 where. I can say I installed a KeelEasy strip on a boat that I have used often for solo camping trips. Which means the boat gets dragged about a good deal even when loaded. Often on less that friendly terrain. I am very pleased with how it has held up. Ed Lawson

NPearson
just to chip in... I put a keeleasy strip on my Romany a few years back - it's certainly tough and does protect the keel well. I have found that it doesn't stick to the boat too well though, and have had to put a little extra adhesive in a couple of gaps that opened up after a year or two.
