Summer Solstice paddle (minus 3 minutes) - A club paddle to celebrate summer

Paddle and early dinner. Join fellow club members for a paddle from Cape Neddick and an early dinner at the Cape Neddick Lobster Pound Restaurant to celebrate the longest day of the year (one week late).  Folks would be responsible to pay for the dinner of their choice. Parking is next to the restaurant on a grassy area marked Beach Parking - $10 cash - payable to the Cape Neddick Oceanside Campground across the road.

Meeting at 10 AM, we will be in the water around 10:30 (Come earlier if you need more time to setup). Depending on the group wishes and conditions we may paddle north towards Ogunquit. Perhaps with a little detour to the "Nubble Lighthouse" on the way back for those so inclined.

We need to let the restaurant know how many people are coming, so if you are planning to come, express your interest below.

    This club paddle will launch from next to the Cape Neddick Lobster Pound. Some of us (hopefully all) will have an early dinner there upon return to celebrate the longest day of the year (minus 3 minutes). Parking is on the grassy area next to the restaurant parking lot. Parking is $10 and payable (cash) to Cape Neddick Oceanside Campground across the street.

    We will need to let the restaurant know how many people are coming, so please if you are planning to, express your interest below. Final details will come when we have a better idea of the weather.

    I'm interested and RSVP'd to the event. I need to be in Andover at 615p. So, depending on when we finish dinner I am in. I would need leave dinner by 445 ish. Do you think that is possible?

    The forecast for Sunday looks good: light, variable winds and a one-foot swell at 7 seconds. NOAA calls for mostly sunny skies, other weather models in Windy call for a foggy or misty day. We will see which one turns to be correct. HT is at 11:15 AM (7.81 ft) and LT at 5:06 PM (1.69 ft.).

    Because of the number of people signed up we will likely split in two pods. Look at the chart when you have a chance (for example here) if you are not familiar with the area.

    Thanks so much Ricardo and Thanks to Ricardo and Bill for planning this terrific big group paddle and to everyone for adding your companionship passion for adventure. It was a perfect day with just enough fog to create a cool sense of mystery and lifting in time for us to get clear views of the Light and spectacular coast!
