  1. I was working with Dale Williams of Tybee island GA and Levi Hogan of AK. They were really cool guys, very laid back. We were all just having a blast, and if they noticed something they could help you with, they let you know. They also asked the whole time if I needed to work on anything.

There were a bunch from across the pond too, I just didn't get a chance to work with them.

  2. I have been using a thermarest all season for a few years now. it compacts very small , mabe to the size of a nalgene bottle.

I've used it in the single digits in the whites with good results. I think its like 2.5 inches thick inflated with an r value of around 5.

I also bring half a thermarest z lite (the ones that fold up like an accordion) like has been said above, works really great as a camp mat, chair ect.

Also ups your insulation value for your core when you layer it under your primary mattress.

The all season doesn't use down, it uses reflective foil inside (i think like space blanket material) so I just blow it up by mouth.

I have not had any bad results from doing this - mold ect. The latest iteration comes with a mini battery powered air pump.

  3. Anyone interested in surfing for a few hours Saturday?

High tide is around 230, so I'm thinking B.I.B. about 11 to get the best wave action.

I guess meet up at the bridge in seabrook, I personally haven't been to that spot, but have heard the current going under the bridge can be fast there. Air is going to be cold so you are going to need a drysuit and helmet.

Must be able to wet exit in surf and be comfortable with rescue skills.

  4. I had an encounter with some rocks at some point, and there is a spot I need to patch. the boat is still water tight, it kind of created a ridge in the glass about 2 inches long but didn't break all the way through.

If anyone can give me some info about the materials needed/process it would be much appreciated.

    thanks

    Dave
