    As I suspected from prev experience, walden boat parking lot is half empty although the main lots r closed. The attendant let me in. If anyone is already driving to walden, stay w ur plan yong

    I have no experience in paddling SOF( nor any other kayak) IN 20+ wind with 3-5ft waves.. since we r expecting it,. I welcome a chance to (gulp) try paddling (with everyones' safety in mind) (or seeing from a far insafe distance?) the condition which befalls many unsuspecting sea kayakers. yong, looking-for-more-input

    hello Al, I would like to join this Saturday if there's room; always wanted to do boston harbor islands but was too chicken to do by myself. If conditions are MILD, I will convince my wife to come along; she is not a very strong paddler. I may have to tow her from time to time and also if we are not going to slow the group down. Yong

    Any thoughts Bill? White's or Walden? I have never been to White's pond so I don't know the setup. It just feels weird going to Walden so soon after a drowning, but I'll go whichever.
