  1. I'm in, sounds great. Thanks Peter! Hi Janice! Florrie
  2. Thanks for doing this! Count me in for the 21st. I have a new dry suit but haven't even put it on - still too scared of it, in spite of Suz and everybody's great job at last fall's workshop! Florrie
  3. Dessert - my favorite cupcake recipe made with elderflower liquor. Florrie PS, is it BYOB or no B?
  4. What could be more festive than men in skirts?
  5. Is anyone going by Newburyport that could carpool? (i.e., give me a ride?) I bought a new car last week, sold my old one with the rack, and it is very awkward (I mean really difficult!) to get my boat up with blue foam blocks. I'll be replacing the rack, but not this week. I am 1.7 miles off 95, will be ready on time and contribute to gas costs. Thanks! Florrie
  6. If you're sure it's not encrustation then this isn't relevant, but when my paddle started getting sticky I soaked the ends in very hot water and after that they were smooth as silk to disengage! Florrie
  7. Yes, thank you Katherine for this great season of Ladie's paddles, they were a fabulous addition to my summer! So girls, I would say with confidence based on the technical string and chart mileage method that we did 13 miles. Yup, and adding the agreed upon 10 miles for those gale force winds puts us at a virtual 23 miles. Felt like that, didn't it, Amazons?! Thanks again Katherine!
  8. Katherine, I'll be there, sorry to be a bit late replying - see you tomorrow! Florrie
  9. Yes, thanks for posting Cathy! I was biking on the coast that day, looking at the waves knowing that somewhere out there some NSPNers were enjoying themselves!
  10. Katherine, that sounds great. I've launched there before and know how to find the put-in, always a plus. I had a chart of that area, can't find it - it must have been the one I lost at Lanes, dang it all over again! Not sure if I'll have another one by the 19th or not. Thanks again for organizing, I'm looking forward to it! Florrie
  11. Here's a good site for charts, http://www.richardso...s.com/index.php and I get some at West Marine Stores. Janice, I never found my chart case, bummer! I guess someone else is enjoying it now. That link keeps messing up - it should say richardsonscharts dot com Katherine, I'll follow you anywhere, including Rockport, but for the sake of discussion how about a change to Pavillion Beach up into Plum Island Sound?
  12. eek, I thought it was called military time too, I've always heard it referred to that way.
