  6. TUESDAY NIGHTS................ 6 PM If you come late, just paddle around the corner from the put-in, paddle out under the Seabrook Harbor bridge and you should be able to find us in the bowl or just around the corner. On Hampton Beach to the left or Seabrook Beach to the right. This is a free form skill session to practice in the ocean. Much of the session will likely focus on surfing skills, but it is not limited to that. The Seabrook Harbor "bowl" offers a very safe place to learn basic kayak surf technique and boat handling skills in the surf zone. The "bowl" is shallow water and self rescue is very easy. Some weeks, the group may opt to head out of the harbor into the open ocean for surfing on Seabrook or Hampton Beach. We will also practice open water self and assisted rescues, towing and other basic kayak skills from time to time, depending on the desires of the group. Seabrook The Harbor is a safe place to work on skills. Put-in is at Seabrook Harbor, Seabrook Beach, NH on the Seabrook side of the Hampton Bridge on Rte 1A in the large parking lot with a restroom, open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The parking area is FREE parking with easy access to a sandy beach launch. See You There ........................... Bill Harter + Doug Mogill

  11. I trimmed 3 rings off , it still seems a little snug but I think that it will stretch on its own. Thanks for the help. Bill H
  12. My new drysuit is very tight in the neck and was wondering if stretching the neck gasket was a possibility or should I just start cutting the rings. On my old Palm drysuit I think I had to cut off 3 rings. Any suggestions would be helpful. Bill H
  13. I think that paddling down the coast of Georgia there would be many islands that you might be able to camp on, but most of the camp grounds were further inland. Once you get to Florida, A1A runs down the coast line and there were State Parks and camp grounds along the way to Daytona. Bill
  14. Hi Suz, Afew years ago I did a trip which started in Tybee Island, Ga to Daytona Beach. We planed on camping the whole trip but many of the places we went to the room rates were under $40.00 a night. It was a 1 week trip in Feb and we drove down with our touring kayaks and I also brought a couple small surf kayaks. We spent a few days at Tybee Island kayaking and playing in the surf. From there we headed south along the coast. We stopped at few other Islands on the way south but there was a bad smell in the air but some beautiful places. Along the way we stopped at a couple kayak shops and someone said that the St Marys River would be a nice paddle to the ocean. So we checked the map and head into Florida and headed for the coast where the mouth of the St Marys river was. Once we got to the coast Which was Amelia Island and we did some exploring. We found a campground on the St Marys River next to Fort Clinch State Park. We set up camp there and paddled around Cumberland Island for a couple days. The Island had wild horses on it and it was great fun exploring it. We only explored the southern quarter of it but some day I will get to check out the rest. There is some camping on that Island. It was like we were the only people on that Island. From there we headed down the coast to Daytona Beach and it was cold and no surf. so we started to make our way home. Bill H
  15. Congratulations Ross, With Christmas around the corner it's time to start shopping for her Kayak....................... Bill H
  16. Hi Mary Beth, You can contact Wilderness Systems or go through a WS dealer. They might still make something that will fit your kayak. Most WS rudder kits should be around $200.00 + plus installiation. If you purchase a rudder and are planing on installing it yourself you can contact me and I will help you out, I have installed many. Bill H
