  1. Hi Rob, It was great meeting you and other folks. Definitely I will be back, maybe once every two weeks. Every time I might be late because I can't leave work until 5:30pm. The water temperature was surprisingly much warmer than last Wed when I was there. This weekend I will be back to Chebacco Lake for more rolling training. See you next time!
  2. Rob, thanks for the information. Jonathan and I mostly will join this Thursday's practice. The weather should be great then.
  3. Did anybody go today? I didn't because of the weather .
  4. Anyone is there? It is raining and no way to do practice . I may try next week.
  5. Who is going to join this practice? Yesterday I was there and the water temperature was above 60f.
  6. Great trip report and pix. Hope someday I can do a trip over there.
  7. Try to join but not sure my hand get full recovery from the cut from glass while I practiced rescue at Mystic Lake. I will do my best to say hello this Thursday.
  8. Report Mystic lakes had some broken glass on the east side near the boathouse. My left hard got cut by glass in the water while Johnathan, two other friends were practicing rescue and rolling. Nasty cut but just not too bad. I had practiced many times at Chebacco lake without such problem.
  9. Mystic lakes will do it if the water is not bad. Thanks for the information.
  10. Pru, thank you. I know Walden Pond is good, but a little far from my apartment.
  11. I may train some of my friends on kayaking. I love Chebacco Lake, but it is a little far away from most of my friends. Try to find another spot between Melrose and Woburn. I know people can kayak on lake Quannapowitt or Horn Pond. Not sure how good they are for practice like rolling and rescue. Appreciate your help.
  12. Great to know that. I may join NSPN formally in next two days and attend this event quite often this summer.
  13. Great report and congratulation on first trip being a leader. It would double your pleasure, right? Since two of my close friends have been NSPN members, I may join the NSPN formally in next two days.
  14. Even still a beginner, with quite simple Sevylor inflatable kayak as the boat, I found so much joy paddling on flatwater and rivers. Have a plan to paddle on every major river in Mass, like Ipswich, North, Connecticut, Charles, Concord, Nashua, Pow Wow and many others. I am looking for one or two more friends to paddle with on weekend, also for shuffle. I also plan some camping for paddling. One more friend would join me most of time. So we have one car, two persons, inflatable boat, camping equipment, and need one more car, couple friends, then find mutual interesting destination and schedule. And we are ready to go... Thanks.
  15. thanks. I will do it today(Sun) and will put-in along route 97.
  16. I will paddle on Ipswich River, Beverly Res., Round Pond and Beck Pond in Hamilton, or Field Pond in Middleton. Anyone else want to join?
  17. Heidi, thank you very much and I try to make it tomorrow, but not sure right now...
  18. Hi, I am living around North Shore area and it is really nice to find this paddlers network. I used to do lots photography, camping, travel and other outdoor activities. Last year, I develop the new hobby(kayaking) and right now want to pour more time and money in it even I am still a beginner. My focus would be flat-water kayaking, rafting with kayak, I to III white-water, camping for kayaking trip and other fun water activities. While I am a responsible, fit, easy-going, open-mind person, and also a really good outdoor activity organizer, I have been frustrated with that I had big problem finding a buddy for kayaking trip among friends with similar culture background in Boston area. You know, for safety or convenience reason, one person is no good. That’s why I am coming here to search kayaking buddies with similar hobbies, beginner or intermediate, active (kayaking at least twice each month), couples or singles, a little interest about Asian culture, like to develop long-term good friendship. Please leave a note here if you have the interest. Thanks. Kurt
