    I wish I hadn't!;)

I'm sorry but I believe that I misrepresented myself. What I meant to say was....I've heard that a wet suit can work sort of like a diaper on long crossings.

  2. I think if i went with you in this cod water i would have to change my diapers.

I am looking forward to the surf sessions with Sal this summer though. Maybe I will get good enough to go with you next year.

No.. not my own diapers. Although on a long crossing, a wet suit can work sort of like a diaper.....Its a good thing my wife never reads this board. < ;)<_<

  3. Hi Ross,

I'm going to try to make it tomorrow morning. How long are you going out for? I've never put-in at Ocean Street. Is the parking along the street? Will confirm with later post. Thanks.

    Bob

Bob, there is a parking lot right on the beach. Days are getting longer so I am planning on being out there until around 4 or 5 but that will depend upon what the group wants. I'll check for your posts tonight.

  4. Looking to see who is interested in attending a kayak yoga class in Newburyport on Sat. Feb 20. Class will taught by a kayaker who will incorporate core body movement, rotation, legs etc. into the session. Will be sometime after 10:00 depending upon what works best for everyone. Please post if interested or send me a personal message.

    Thanks Ross

(no idea why this posted 2x  )

Ok, Seabrook at 10:30am on Saturday for surf and Devereaux on Sunday at 10:30 for rocks.

    (Ross, check your PM ;)

OK sounds great! I have to be off the water by 2:00. I'll check in if there is any change of plans. Ross

  6. A couple days away so don't quite know what the conditions will be but hoping to get out for some surfing in NH. Possibly Seabrook or anywhere along the coast. BIB @ 10:00, off the water by 2:00. I'll post specific local as time draws near.

  7. Here is a list of ideas for workshops. I am wondering if there are any NSPN'ers who would like to volunteer to teach. Any birders out there? Any one interested in sharing their knowledge of geology or natural/local history, etc.? If so post here or contact me via personal message

  8. Rick, seems like it hasn't quite passed yet, it is going to committee. We still need to put the pressure on. Contact your Reps, nows the time. They have to vote on the revised bill in the next couple of days.

A-bit confusing all this politics. It is not yet a done deal. Keep an eye on the changes that they have made to the bill on MA website. If they are not to your liking then contact your state senator or rep. The house and senate will be voting on it soon. Wouldn't hurt to contact the Speakers office either.

  9. Ross,

    Stay home, too windy!

    Suz

Yes its howling and white out there, I'll be staying home with the wife baby and doggie singing and playing guitar by the woodstove. Then out X country skiing...of course

Anyone want to join us for coffee or hot chocolate (or a beer)... :558: Plum Island Coffee Roasters Amesbury this afternoon (after the storm settles down). Couple of us may be down there. (Games on widescreen)

  10. IF...the weather isn't too bad... I am wanting to get out for a short paddle. Any one who wants to join is welcome. Contact me or post if interested and we will work out details.

Hot chocolate or coffee at Plum Island Coffee Roasters afterwards (my treat). B)

    Ross

  11. All you guys are mad! Check latest marine f/c: seas 12-17' and small craft <urged> to return to port...that's what I read, anyway! :o

I was maybe thinking about a paddle on the calmer protected waters of the Merrimack before it freezes up. It would be cool to be on the water with a little snow fall (that is if we don't get pounded). Could put in at Newburyport and head up river or explore the marshes. Afterwards a hot cup of coffee at Plum Island Coffee Roasters in town. Any interest?
