I had a great time paddling with you guys Friday night! That was my first time paddling after dark (I usually try very hard to make it back to the put-in by dark). I was really suprised how well you could see with all the ambient light.. "somehow I think my glow stick might not be quite the guard between me and large tankers that I would hope for :)" - So you do you mean, If I start waving my glow stick around the tankers won't do a 180 then run and hide? I'll second Kevin's comment about the Fishermans Ale -- Yummy! Keep posting those SNGs -Chris

If you guys are still heading out, I'd love to join you. I haven't been out on a night time paddle yet, sounds like fun! I'll have to stop by NESC so they can hook me up with some reflective tape and light sticks. (I already have a headlamp and white light). A post paddle drink sounds good -- although I'll skip the manly hugs

Hello NSPN! Do any of you guys (or gals!) have an opinion on the Perception Avatar 15.5 / 16? I’m looking for a nice touring kayak that is agile, but still decent for some of your longer paddling adventures. I’m about 6’ (and I guess I’d like to think of myself as a fairly strong paddler....I guess we’ll see about that!) (well maybe I should introduce myself...) I’ve been an occasional lurker on your message boards for a few months now, (sorry to see that they have temporarily disappeared) and I hope to join you guys @ clinics and on trips as soon as I get my new boat. Thanks I hope to see you all on the water soon! Chris
