  3. dear peter, how splendid to hear from you! the bride and groom are very happy, indeed. thanks for asking! :-) >Natalia dear, >How is the blushing bride? >I saw your boat this past weekend, gliding about this way >and that in the hands of a handsome, courtly gentleman >with a foreign accent. Now that you’re happily ensconced in >the bondage and discipline of holy matrimony, I suppose you >would like the boat returned without its occupant.
  4. not a huge deal, just wondering when my boat is going to be returned to its home-sweet-home. mr. crangle? thanks!
  5. Also - if you happen to have a portable gas grill and/or portable tables and chairs - those are great additions! We've grilled burgers, chicken and sausages at past solstice potlucks. We at NSPN go all out for our potlucks! You will eat to full capacity if you sample a little bit of everything. ;-) Cheers!
  6. Keith, I'm glad to hear that you and John are ok. Natalia

  10. Hey - I read an AP report re. the weather over the weekend that mentioned two kayakers paddling in the streets of York, Maine. Andrew and Alex - was that you two? ;-)
  11. Hi there, When I first decided I needed my own boat (after renting on an hourly basis the previous summer) I leased a boat from NSKOC. It was an easy and convenient thing for me to do and I ended up purchasing my first boat for the used price at the end of the lease. It's nice because if you decide that that boat is not for you, you just give it back at the end of the summer (September) - no over-the-winter storage issues, either. If you do like it, you can keep it for a fairly reasonable price. I would say this would be a pretty good solution for new kayakers.
  12. Don't forget! It's tonight! Bring your favorite piece 'o' gear... :-)
  13. well i'm sorry i couldn't be there - but glad my boat could! :-D thanks for the report!
