  1. Possibly, keep me posted! Patty
  2. We're in for the Solstice paddle on Saturday June 21 We'll be launching from Riverhead Beach and paddling over to Salem Willows where we'll take a break, have a snack and soak up some sun. Then we'll paddle back to meet up with the other groups for the pot luck. This is a level 2+ trip. The wind tends to kick up in the afternoon and there tends to be choppy water. There is also a long channel crossing that can be challenging with the wind and chop. Hope to see you all! Patty
  3. Hi Kevin, Liz and I will lead the level 2+ trip if we can do it as a show and go - no registration. We'll paddle out to Salem Willows and back. Patty
  4. Hi Ed, We will paddle toward Wingarsheek/Coffin's beach area. If the weather/water is good, some of us may choose to paddle over toward Crane's and/or Essex bay. Those that wish to lounge on the beach (whichever beach we want to stop at) will be met by the others on the way back and we will all paddle back together. No given return time - but definately before dark. Hope to see you and Gail, Patty
  5. Launch out of Lane's Cove at 11:00 am and paddle over to Wingarsheek/Coffin beach area - maybe over to Cranes if weather/group is up to it. We'll land somewhere and enjoy some leisure time on the beach then paddle back when we're ready. This has potential to be level 3 conditions if the wind picks up. This is a show and go so there is no leader, bring everything you need to be out on the water.
  6. I'll be launching at noon for a kinder, gentler paddle. Maybe we'll see you guys on the water. Patty
  7. Level 2-3 from Greasy Pole Saturday 8/25 at 3:00. Gloucester Harbor to Kettle Island in Magnolia. Possible conditions around Norman's Woe. Also, possible wind and weather related chop. Launch at 3pm. Please be there early enough to get your gear together and be in your boat by 3!
  8. You can launch from Stage Fort Park but there is a fee to park up there. I think its $10 or $15. We did it once and when we parked on the road to unload our boats and gear, the local police gave us a hard time about being parked there. Corliss Landing is tide specific and I believe the tide is low at mid day on Saturday. You may be able to launch on the other side of the boulevard - before the bridge. I've never done it and there are rocks and seaweed there. Also, if the tide is really high, the beach goes away at high tide. There are steps over there to bring you down to the water.
  9. Anyone planning on going up to Vermont for the paddlesports weekend? Did anyone go last year? How was it? Thanks, Patty
  10. Hey Suz, Give them a kiss, maybe its a prince!!
  11. Gillian, The 'Official' trip was cancelled. We're still paddling as a show and go - no leader. This will not be a beginner trip. If you have some paddling experience, come join us. Patty
  12. Level 2 Gloucester Harbor trip on June 17 is posted. Launch from the Greasy Pole and explore Gloucester Harbor. Check the calendar for all the details! Patty
  13. I'll be paddling from Conomo Point on Sunday June 11. Launch time is 10am. This will be a level 2/3 trip. Please note that the time is 10 AM!!
