PeterB
The Maine Island Trail Association (MITA) has an exhibitors booth at the Kittery Paddlesports Show at UNH in Durham NH on the weekend of March 30th- April 1st. Traditionally, NSPN helps MITA staff their booth , so if any NSPN members are interested , MITA appreciates the help on this busy weekend, which draws boaters and kayakers (including many of us!) ready for spring and kicking off the paddling season. Usually people sign up for a morning or afternoon shift . MITA will be setting up their area on Friday afternoon, probably @ 4-6 PM , and will especially need help then. Staffing the booth mainly consists of answering questions about MITA , and helping processing memberships. As this is a boating event, a lot of curious people stop by the booth, interested in information about the Maine island trail and kayaking in general . If you are interested in putting in a few hours at the MITA booth , contact me by PM or at pbrady at neaq dot org, or contact Emma Pope-Welch at 207-651-9741 or at epopewelch at mita dot org. You get to meet and talk to some interesting people, you can learn alot, and have fun. So if you have an interest in MITA and paddling the Maine coast, it is a worthwhile way to spend part of the day at the show.
