NSPN Post-General Meeting Paddle

Sunday Sept. 25th

Pavilion Beach, Ipswich

Meet at Pavilion Beach, Ipswich @ 12:30PM , after the annual NSPN Members General Meeting, for a 1PM paddle.

This has been a great time for the club to paddle together in early autumn.

Float plan can be determined by the group , weather & conditions that day .

Trips will be L2 and/or L3

In the past we have broken into groups, with trips along Plum Island, Cranes Beach, circumnav. Cranes/ Castle Island , and/or playing in the surf at the mouth of Plum Island Sound.

Max ebb is 1:05PM (1.57kt.) so we'll have a mid-tide launch and can ride the ebb out of Plum Island sound.

Slack before flood is 4:37PM, so we can ride the beginning of the flood back to the put in @ 5PM.

Sun set is 6:35PM

Weather updates will be posted here.

Feel free to RSVP here or send PM to Peter Brady

  • 2 weeks later...

It looks like a mild , warm humid day, conditions tame. So, Post Meeting paddle is on.

It looks a bit warm for drysuits to me, water temperatures are sill not-cold and temps may be 70, so it look s more like of a late summer than an early fall paddle.

Don't forget to bring lunch. There wont be much time between the meeting and the paddle.

If you're not going to the meeting but showing up for the paddle, theres a slight chance people will show up a bit late because finishing up the meeting exactly at 12 and then getting to Pavilion can be a bit unpredictable. But we'll be appearing soon enough.

Options for paddling will be L2 and/or L3.

See you tomorrow :douglas:

Heading for Europe I'm afraid. Work definitely interferes with life.....

Have a good one.
