jason Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 For multiple reasons I would classify this the worst boat design I have seen: http://www.gizmag.com/love-love-part-boat-artwork/16928/ Not only is the hull design has less than optimal drag. I would say that it has to upset people that attempt to resue the crew. When they really have trouble I don't that people will help them. -Jason Quote
brambor Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I bet he gets all the attention he craves. I suppose that _he_ thinks he's funny. Quote
Michael_Crouse Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 For some reason all I can think of is John Leonard in his old Pintail Quote
bob budd Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 This reminds me of when I rolled a Pungo.I bet the owner is very prowed of his boat. Quote
Gcosloy Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 "I bet the owner is very prowed of his boat."As long as he stays aft of his prow. Actually, as an art object,I like it a lot, as a boat not so much! Quote
Rob Hazard Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 This photo showed up on the WoodenBoat forum last week. I'm sure the builder thinks it's funny, and maybe even an artistic or political statement, but to my mind it's like sending a spoof Mayday signal. What will he do if that thing actually starts to sink one day? Quote
Brian Nystrom Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 As a lawn or harbor ornament, it would be cute and clever. The fact that he actually takes it out on the water makes it a nuisance. Quote
