EEL
Helmet cam video of folks paddling near Golden Gate Bridge in tide race. Shows its not the boat and not the paddle. Also why having a roll on both sides can be a good thing. http://www.youtube.com/user/ralphjohnson10...u/0/9W3HEr7g62Q Ed Lawson
Scott Lundquist
Shows its not the boat and not the paddle. Great footage, thanks for posting it. What exactly is that in his hands? A stubby greenland paddle made of carbon? Or something from the gardening tool shed? The Bay Area is always cutting edge, isn't it... emilie
What exactly is that in his hands? It looks like a carbon greenland paddle such as Doug has made by http://www.superiorkayaks.com
EEL
What exactly is that in his hands? A stubby greenland paddle made of carbon? The paddler with the camera was using a Superior Kayaks carbon fiber GP. He is enamored of it given it has done well despite the high mileage he paddles and the waters he paddles in. Don't know about the others. Ed Lawson
bob budd
The paddle on the deck is a storm (usually spare) paddle that is shorter. The paddle in his hands is probably normal length and appears shorter due to the camera angle. Otherwise you would see a sliding stroke.
