Join us for a class to add class to your kayak camping experience.

Those MRE's are fast but there is great food that can be created with

little fuss while camping. Learn from a few of your fellow paddlers

what is possible.

Where: Harold Parker State Forest in Andover / N. Andover (Old

Pavilion at Berry Pond on Middleton Rd)

Date: Wednesday evening June 30, 2004

Time: 7:00 – 9:00

What to bring: lawn chair, bug repellent, headlamp/flashlight.

The space is covered in case of rain but there are no walls!

Directions

Harold Parker State Forest is located in north-eastern Massachusetts.

From Route 93: Take 93 north from Boston or south from NH to exit 41(rt 125), follow 125 north (toward Andover), for about 4 miles to the State Police Barracks (on right). Turn right on Harold Parker Rd. to Jenkins Rd. Turn left on Jenkins, right on Middleton, Old pavilion is on the right just after the Berry pond turn off.

From 495: take exit 42, east on Rte. 114 for 6 miles, right at brown State Forest sign to end of road, turn right the old Pavilion will be on the left .

From Salem, Peabody, Danvers: West on Rte. 114, left at Harold Parker State Forest sign, turn right the old Pavilion will be on the leftjust before the Berry Pond tun off (if you see the turn off you passed th pavilion).

Great job done by Jonathan and Suzanne.

..And so it seems that we are not doomed to the monotony of endless pasta on the kayak camping trail!

But how does that dehydrator do with a Heineken?:-)

PS - I will see about writing up a few non pasta based recipes to post. Will start a recipe thread that others can post to also - maybe we can get an NSPN cookbook out of it.

You both did a great job. Jonathan did a wonderful presentation and we all know that Suzanne and the rest of the activities committee helped greatly to make these fun events happen. Thank you both!
