Another person's perspective on Kayak lightning protection.

I (and I suspect most people) wouldn't recommend this, please don't go out and set this up on your boat.

With all of the talk of rafting up to sail boats to be protected from a lightning strike. I thought that some in the club might be interested this authors view of a Kayak lightning protection rig.

I belive it came from Expedition Kayaking by Derek Hutchinson

I'm not sure what edition in edition four it's the same pictures but diferent refrense numbers.

On one of his visits to NSPN about 6 or 7 years ago, Derek confirmed that he had never built--much less tested--such a device and neither did he know anyone who had done so.

Just an idea he had....
