EEL Posted September 3, 2006 Share Posted September 3, 2006 The October issue of SeaKayaker has a nice article on night paddling and a review of some small, but bright flashlights. The Maxfire XL is the least expensive at around $19 in mass market big box stores like Walmart. I tried one and it provided a light that was brighter, whiter and more a spot of light than my three D cell Maglite could produce. Seems tough and supposedly water tight.
