josko
Today I came upon what i thought was a sleeping (harbor) seal: vertical in the water, nose ~6" above the water, eyes closed, not moving. Occasionally a wave would break over the nose, and it would give an automatic little snort to get rid of water. I thought it was hurt, but could see nothing wrong so decided to leave it alone. I was downwind surfing, so managed to drift within 4' of it,stayed next to it for a minute or so, and then drifted downwind. It never opened its' eyes or moved other than slightly twitch s nose and face. Was this indeed a sleeping seal? Has anybody seen this before? beckt
I've seen sleeping seals before. I just quietly sneak on by. Pretty cool!
