I will not be able to join you.

This rotomolded kayak is in excellent condition, with only a few minor scratches on the hull. At 16' 1" long, this is Valley's all around ocean kayak, short enough for ocean play yet long enough to hold its speed. Boat is located in Hooksett, NH.
Check out Valley's description of this kayak - https://www.valleyseakayaks.com/our-kayaks/polyethylene-models/sirona
Interested parties can contact me through this message board or at jcharette522@yahoo.com.

Gently used Lendal Storm 210. This paddle is an older model, in excellent condition, with Lendal’s paddlok system. The paddlok system allows for infinite feather and length extension up to 5 cm. The new Lendal Storm paddles with the Leverlok system retail for $610. Asking $350 OBO.
Lendal padlock key included

Bob, I want a picture of you paddling back in with a transmission tied to the deck.

Thanks for bringing this to shore for proper disposal.
I did check, my car still has all 4 tires, so I know it's not mine.

splash deck ok?
If you are planning to join the tidal flat water journey I think a splash deck would be ok, however for either of the trips heading into more dynamic waters a full spray skirt is a requirement.

If you are planning to attend please click the link below and register.

Count me in for Saturday

If you plan this for Saturday I will join in.

How big is this barrel? Typical 55 gallon size?
Perhaps bring along a recreational kayak, in tow, and use it as a barge.
I'd like to join in the retrieval, but only if on a weekend.

I can help out and I can bring my Valley Sirona RM.

I should also mention, there is a calendar signup for this event.

Workshop for NSPN Members:
Sunday, April 30, 1-4:30PM
Jeff Charette and Sue Hriciga are offering a convivial workshop at Sue’s home in Amesbury, MA
The VHF Radio Review will serve as both a refresher for those who own a VHF and a rudimentary orientation for those wanting to learn about proper VHF use for sea kayakers. Although not a comprehensive course on all VHF uses, this workshop’s focus is to provide the basics of VHF protocol. Once these parameters are outlined, folks will pair up, be presented with scenarios and simulate appropriate VHF responses.
Occasionally whilst kayaking, minor accidents happen to boats and bodies. So what do we carry in our PFD pockets to quickly respond to these incidents? On-the-water pocket boat repair and personal booboo kits will be presented and how best to assemble them. Please note our body booboo kits are intended to quickly respond to minor cuts and are not intended to be substitutes for a more complete Wilderness First Aid training or kit.
Jeff has significant kayak camping experience and has developed an additional kit for more serious and extensive on-the-land boat repairs upon returning to camp. When out and about on islands for multi-day trips, it is prudent to be prepared for repairs to get one back to the original launch!
We will provide a couple of Food Savors to experiment with PFD pocket boat and body repair kits. Come join us for a casual afternoon of camaraderie! If you would like to attend, PM Sue (SueH)

NSPN will be holding its annual New to Sea Kayaking Workshop at Winter Island Park, 50 Island Road, Salem, MA. This event is designed to be beneficial to a wide audience, from those who have never paddled any kind of boat, to others who maybe paddle calm locations to white water. Regardless of your experience, if you are interested in knowing more about sea kayaking this is a great opportunity. At the workshop, we will discuss what sea kayaking is about, look at various boats, paddles, other gear, clothing, safety equipment, and more. It is free and open to the general public - membership is not required, but for those who want to join the club, cost is $15 for 12 months. Workshop details:
Current club members who wish to help out with this event, either presenting, loaning equipment (boats!!), or just helping to set up/take down, please Message me and we will discuss.
