Doug, I am interested in the 25 Feb opening. I would like to float a saran wrapped SOF that I have been working on, if that is appropriate for the pool session. I would likely bring an actual boat as well hoping that the three hours might allow some practice time as well. Let me know if that sounds ok.

Thanks to all of you, just having the opportunity to watch you all and learn from observing your boat handling skills has been really helpful to me. To say nothing of the actual help and great advice you have all provided. Thanks so much.
I have a feeling that the second, or possibly the third if I get lucky will be the trick. Thanks again, hopefully I'll see you all in a couple of weeks, I'm off to Maine for 10 days or so.

Hi Eric,
Welcome to the Walden practice sessions. What type of new boat do you have and do you have a spray skirt? If you do not have a spray skirt and if I knew what type of boat you have, I could try to rustle up one for you.
When you arrive at Walden, look for us across the pond at the way end little cove.
I have a CLC 16lt and do have a skirt, see you Wednesday.

I would like to join you. I am new to the group and new to this kayak, (transitioning from a sit on top and small , wide body recreational model) I'm sure I have lots to learn. Thanks, Eric

I received a sale notice from West Marine that included this radio:
I can't vouch for it personally, but the specs look really good, the warranty is excellent, the fixed price post-warranty repair is very reasonable and the price seems like a bargain. If you're in the market for a marine VHF, it's certainly worth considering.
West Marine in Woburn is moving and the vhf 150 referenced is offered at a 75% discount! I just purchased it for $34.50 tax included. thanks for the tip
