  1. Chris, I struggled with this issue for nearly two years. Finally last spring prompted by the CAM workshop I began a search for a used dry suit, found one for $300 a great buy that I suspect is an exceptionally low price. it is a womens suit, fits me fine ? (yes that does worry me a bit).Seriously, if you are looking for a used suit look closely at the dimensions of womens vs mens and try it on. Having owned it for a year now I now know that I should have done it sooner and not wasted money and time on the several halfway solutions that I found. I have a 3mm farmer john and now have several 'found on sale' top layers that I rarely if ever use. I now go direct from the farmer john to the dry suit. The decision to join a trip now is governed only by schedule ability and interest, the season or weather matters not at all. Good luck

  2. A note of thanks to everyone, a great day and night. Also thank you Peter for organizing the overnight, a campsite that I will likely use again. A note on my 'night in the hammock experiment', I am giving it a thumbs up, more comfortable than the ground and dry in the light rain that moved in at 3 AM. I did have the hammock too close to the fly for the condensation to clear and as the rain began to hit the top of the fly the impact shook the inside condensation free. When it rains on the outside it rains on the inside, I was fortunately close enough to the fly to dry the inside with my polartech (the joy of one night trips) and slept like a baby till 7. Great photos, Thanks again to all.

  3. Doug, I would like to take a spot on the 7th of April.

Also, if there is not a lot of effort involved, is there any way to send me a clip of my roll Sunday, I am trying to understand and if possible ,correct the right hook at the end. I am thinking that if I watch the clip a few times I might begin to understand it. On open water it's not so bad but in a pool I feel like a serious hazard to navigation.

Thanks again for organizing, If the 7th is still available I'll put a check in the mail.

  4. Hi Eric,

The address is 550 Peverly Hill Rd, Portsmouth, NH. If traveling north, take Rt 33 (Exit 3) off 95N, towards Portsmouth (right off the ramp), as you pass a cemetery on the right a mile or so down, take a right at Peverly Hill Rd. The YMCA is on the left about 1/2 mile from the turn onto Peverly Hill Rd.

    Thank you great directions

By the way I did order and have the flotation bags we discussed on the 18th They look good to me. I will bring them with me on the first of April if you would like to see them.
