I have many small and large scratches on my kayak deck and I was wondering if there might be a method for repairing them. Is there anyway of perhaps lightly sanding or buffing them out somehow? I am open to any suggestions.

Sorry to hear the news of your rack. That's terrible. When I bought my thule kayak rack for my honda civic, I immediately bought a cable lock from a motorcycle supply store (online). I've been using this lock for 4 years now and it's only a few minutes to put on and take off. I just leave it up locked whenever I'm on the water or my car is in the driveway. I haven't had any issues. My best guess is the cable lock is about 12 to 15 feet in length.

Are both of these pools large enough for 17 foot kayaks? I'd like to bring my own.

I know this is general...but I am wondering if there may be any more openings for any pool sessions over the next 5 weeks?

Is anyone familiar with the put in's at Conomo Point or Clammers Beach? I am not a resident of Essex and wasn't sure about the parking situation at either of these put ins? KayakDave
