  1. Boo! Last week I was there, found Paul who was also looking for group, and we paddled around finding nobody until Dan showed up as we were getting out. Next two Fridays I have out of state commitments, so I'll have to wait until July 30th. Sigh.. You guys enjoy!! I'll be thinking of you and I hope you get a sizeable group. Lucia
  2. hi Al- is this 2 hrs one way? and why is it level 3- it's flat water- is it level 3 due to the pace and distance/ Lucia
  3. Thanks - i found out the Manchester has no non-resident parking anyway. I also found a neighbor with a rec kayak who will go on parker river with me today- too bad , I was looking for some salt water work- BTW- Do you know if greenheads are gone?? Lucia QUOTE(Kevin B @ Aug 25 2009, 10:04 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Lucia, There's Tucks in Manchester and Tuck in Beverly. I am assuming they are referring the to Beverly location but I am not sure.
  4. Where is tucks? and what level paddling are you talking? Lucia
  5. Hi Jeanne- are you ever free during the week day? I am looking for people wanting to do some paddling today- tues the 25th- maybe river or bay- Lucia
  6. I am a beginner, but have done the wet exits practices in lakes, and have surfed into Revere once without too much trouble- I and am interested in going paddling today- are you still looking for paddling buddies?/ Lucia 781-507-1980 QUOTE(Kevin B @ Aug 24 2009, 09:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>So, paddling plans have changed for tomorrow and find myself free. Anyone paddling on tomorrow?
  7. Can anyone tell me where you put in on Essex Bay? I haven't done much open water paddling, and would like to do Essex Bay/river to start- (or is there another suggestion?) - I haven't been able to make any of the evening get-togethers, as I am mostly available during the day only. I am curious about where are the "unadvertised" launch sites. I had one book that said one could put in behind woodman's , but another book said there's only the public town launch site. Any suggestions to start for the inexperienced? Lucia j- new to ocean paddling
  8. I'm new to NSPN and looking for anyone wanting to do short paddles (2-3hrs) on sections of the ipswich or other rivers/ocean inlets local to boston. I have a 15ft nekky w/rudder but am relatively new to ocean kayaking, and can't make many of the evening paddle/practices. I'm very flexible weekends/days. done sections of Ipswich by myself -river is high due to rains, not challenging, but smooth practice- any interest here?
