I had a lot of fun yesterday playing in surf. My son, Patrick, was better at it than I was. I guess I will make every effort to get to a training lesson to learn and practice getting back in my boat after a capsize. Yes, I am the stranger who received much needed help to get back into her boat. Thank you everyone that helped. The PFD is now, and always will be, tight! See you at the next training. Linda

Our Fir tree was hit by lightning a few years ago. We had a tree expert come and see if it was still healthy or if we needed to cut it down. He told us that the lightning spiraled up the tree from the ground. It spirals twice around and we can see the exit point half way up the tree. The lighting is attracted to the moisture in the tree, a good conductor, the ground was wet from rain and maybe the rabbit cage, also a conductor. We still have the tree 10 years later, healthy as can be! The rabbit survived also, with maybe another streak of white fur!

Would like to attend my first trip. I've been kayaking for 3 years, rivers, lakes, open ocean(calm), and coves. Will try out my sit-on-top for playing in surf. Have all necessary safety equip. see you then.
