Phil Allen
There's a new small boat dock in Fort Point Channel. For those that don't know the city well, it's just south of South Station, near the Children's museum. Looks like a nice place to start exploring the inner harbor.more info herehttp://www.kayalu.com/k/kayak-paddle-sail-fish-fort-point-pier-boston-harbor-fort-point-channel-dock-pier.phpPhil

Thanks BrianThe narrated version says "connects up to a surface parking lot". The text also says there is parking.
MPARSONS
It is surrounded by a massive parking lot. Hundreds of cars. They charge $12 per day on weekdays, but I think its free on the weekends. The launch is not open yet. The dock is installed, but it is closed off by a chain link fence. I'm really looking forward to this launch opening for next season. I park in that lot any day I have a post-work paddle planned. This means I'll probably initiate a bunch of mid-week harbor paddles next season. bazzert
This morning I noticed additional signs at the parking lot. Parking is free for the boat launch after 7pm on weekdays and all day on weekends. Passed the dock the other day on my way to a meeting at Fidelity and took a couple of pictures ... there are a few parking spots right at the dock which are reserved for dock users and according to the sign are free at the weekend or evenings. You can enter the parking lot here. Would be a great launch to explore the inner harbor. Barry.
alcoons
I am thinking we could run nightly trips from the dock to the Barking Crab. Distance one way: 0.2 milesLevel: 1 outbound, 4 returnSeriously, driven by the put-in multiple times. Looks like a great resource.Al
