EEL Posted July 1, 2011 Share Posted July 1, 2011 Gail and I just spent six days paddling in Maine which was a 50/50 proposition. Half the time in fog, half the time in sun. Half the time in calm, half the time not. Half the time camping, half the time not. Highlights were crossing the schooner Bowdoin, which was under full sail, close enough to chat, watching an eagle and osprey having a dispute over a fish, paddling closely along tall granite ledges as a 2-3 foot swell smashed into them and rebounded out, spending a day navigating in fog, encounters with seals and porpoises, and finding out "The Motions" at Damariscove are indeed aptly named.Ed Lawson Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
