If the gate is locked on the east side of the river meet on the west side and park as close to the road as practical. (LT is 9:40 but slack is 10:04) so a little against the incoming tide. Play among the rocks along Rye Rocks and environs and return to the put-in by 3PM (HT is 3:50 and slack is 4:17) so we get a ride back. Stop at Rye Beach for a snack.
