Freya Hoffmeister, who paddled solo around Australia, will be in the area on July 1 and is looking for a place to host her talk. She is asking for about $15 per person which does not leave much to pay for a room. Does anyone have a suggestion for a place to hold the event.

How many folks would you expect? In running a once annual fund raiser/ski movie, we've used the basement and main theatres at the Capitol in Arlington in various years. If the number is small to moderate, you might reach out to one of the college outing clubs to see if they can provide space.
