Three places have our interest on Lake Superior ....Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore ....Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park ....Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Has anyone you know been paddling out there or know of nice places to rent kayaks located on the lakeshore or know of any local kayak clubs out there who might have any loaners or might do some day paddling with us ? thanks (you can always send a private message if you prefer) merci beaucoup on the return trip we will be on the Canadian side but haven't picked our destinations yet... If you will be out that way for the Great Lakes Kayak Symposium, plan to attend. We hope it will be a 2 month road trip, so we are looking for people friendly places to paddle and folks to do buisness with. The trick might be that we are pushing the early part of the season. We expect to be there around the 3rd week of May, so year round places like downwindsport might be ideal. (the road trip is planned for May 15 to July 15). ...happy paddling...! bob budd Posted March 17, 2010 Share Posted March 17, 2010 Though paddling out may be a bit much (just ask the crew of the Edmund Fitzgerald) consider a few days at Isle Royal (sp?).
